CALL FOR PROJECTS: Support for video game development & prototyping

Wallonia-Brussels Federation is launching its 3rd call for projects dedicated to video game development and prototyping in order to "create significant new opportunities for the video game sector, with a clear ambition to support and promote creation in this field." The deadline for submissions is Monday, February 26, 2024.

WALGA offers its members free support in drawing up their applications, from project presentation to financial tables.

Center du Cinéma et de l'Audiovisuel has just opened its call for prototyping projects, which closes on February 26, 2024, leaving plenty of time for WALGA's coaches to review the applications before sending them off.

Wallimage could issue a new call for projects in the first quarter of 2024, but the submission deadlines are likely to be very short. It's best to be ahead of the game and prepare your prototyping or production file, as the forms will remain identical to those used in the past.

Between two production stages, project owners who have received funding to develop their game prototype also need to provide structural financing (company) for cash flow requirements before they can raise new funds, whether public or private. WALGA's collaboration with ST'Art Invest and Wallimage Entreprises enables us to offer accessible financial solutions to start-ups. A webinar will be organized on this subject in the first half of the year, but don't hesitate to contact us if you have urgent financing needs.

Last but not least, Lionel Hubert has just joined the WALGA team as a contact person for coaching needs, especially financial ones and calls for projects. He will act as a go-between for Jean Gréban and experts such as Patrick Gigase, as and when required. Don't hesitate to contact him (lionel@walga.be) to tell him about your project and your financial needs.
