Certificate in immersive VR techniques at HEPL

With the first edition taking place last year and very encouraging results, HEPL has decided to do it again from January 9, 2024 with its training course dedicated to immersive VR techniques!

With this course, which is separate from the bachelor's degree in video games, and is given in shifted hours, the HEPL allows people who already have a full-time profession and want to broaden their areas of expertise to take part.

On completion of the certificate, learners will be able to carry out a virtual reality project for different platforms and sectors of the professional world. Worth knowing:

VR project management

This part will enable students to organize themselves into groups, identify key positions and optimize work according to individual skills. Participants will learn how to fit into a workflow and coordinate with a pre-established schedule. They will analyze in depth the needs and constraints of a brief and lay the foundations of an idea/concept in relation to a graphic charter/target audience/industry.

VR Production

This part is directly linked to the implementation and realization of the project decided by the working groups. Following the work schedule established in the VR project management course, the 3D environments will be designed and the interaction elements coded and tested. Work will focus on developing the various skill areas, and the project will then take shape.

3D VR design

This section will make all students aware of the different directions 3DVR can take. It will analyze the design, ergonomics, interactions and constraints linked to different sectors of activity. This course will lay the foundations for future projects and provide a sufficiently enlightened viewpoint to make strategic choices for the VR Production course.

VR development

This section will teach you how to get started with virtual reality. It will cover topics such as basic VR game development, optimization techniques, interaction, ergonomics, physics and sound. Although a game project will serve as the basis for this workshop, all the functions and features studied will apply to all projects.
