The Haute École de la Province de Liège (HEPL) is offering a transitional bachelor's degree in video games. It covers the first 3 years of the forthcoming Master's degree in video games.
Video games are an essential social and cultural object. The video game industry is booming, generating over 600 million euros in sales by 2021 in Belgium. These studies are linked to the development, design and production of video games. This includes learning about programming, animation, character design, music and sound design, as well as the business and management aspects of the video game industry.
Graduates of this program will be prepared for careers in the video game industry, as game developers, programmers and game producers. They will also have cross-disciplinary skills such as teamwork, problem-solving and critical decision-making, which will be useful in other fields.
