Created in 2016, the Liège Game Lab is a collective dedicated to video game research, teaching and mediation at the University of Liège, under the status of constituent entity (research center) of the transdisciplinary UR Traverses (Philosophy and Letters). The LGL relies on the participation of some twenty doctoral students and research assistants. Attached to the University of Liège, they teach five courses on video games, four of which are part of the first university course entirely dedicated to the use of video game culture in the socio-cultural field. In addition, the collective organizes numerous international scientific events and mobilizes its expertise for exhibitions, workshops and gamejams. The Liège Game Lab is also present on Youtube and Twitch.
