Video game stories from Belgium, seminars captured by Liège Game Lab

Visit Liège Game Lab is organizing a series of three seminars at the Grand Poste devoted to the history of video games in Belgium. For the 2nd seminar, Jean Gréban, Coordinator of WALGA, was their guest to talk about his experience in the industry. You can watch the entire seminar on their YouTube channel below.

"Until the end of the 2000s, the history of video games was dominated by two points of view: an American view of an American-centric history, and a Western view of Japanese production, mainly from the point of view of imports. Yet in the 2010s, a number of initiatives have begun to shake up and challenge this over-established historical narrative. Thus, it is becoming inconceivable to limit the history of video games to their commercial successes: their development is described on an international reticular model, multiplying nodes and connections, sometimes even improbable ones."

The next seminar takes place on Wednesday, April 3 from 1pm, with Brice Mattivi, Co-Founder and Game Producer of Liège-based Wild Bishop.
