KISS Game Jam 2025, January 24-26!

It's time to start a new chapter from January 24 to 26 with the KISS Game Jam 2025! Get your team ready, registration opens on Wednesday December 18 at 1pm.

The KISS is a friendly 48-hour event that brings together groups of students and professionals to develop a video game prototype. The Game Jam will take place at the Haute École Albert Jacquard, and we hope you'll put your best foot forward for this 3rd edition!

Important information - Registration December 18 at 1 p.m.

To validate your participation, you must register IN A TEAM.
But be careful, EVERY TEAM MEMBER MUST REGISTER! (Per team, which means that your registration timing will be averaged across all your members)

  • Registration is free but compulsory.
  • The event is in person and under the BYOS format (Bring your own set-up) !
  • You can sleep on site and you won't be thirsty or hungry!
  • Registration DOES NOT mean participation. You will receive confirmation of your registration.

120 places are available, and the rule is: first come, first served! With the following quota: 80 HEAJ students, 20 students from other schools and training courses and 20 professionals.

Teams should be made up of 4 to 6 people with a variety of complementary skills. Here are a few examples of the skills you'll need to form your Dream Team: 

  • Game Design You'll need: creativity, some knowledge of gameplay, game mechanics, storytelling and level design.
  • Scripting/Programming Programming skills, using engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine and mastering programming languages such as C#, C++ or Python. Ability to manage interactions between game elements.
  • Art The ability to design characters, environments, user interfaces and visual elements for games.
  • Animation The ability to animate the visual elements present in the game.
  • Creativity Our ability to generate new ideas and develop them rapidly for implementation.
  • Sound Design The ability to create a sound atmosphere within the game
  • Narrative Design The ability to give a story, a meaning, a coherence to what you want to tell through your game.
  • Teamwork The ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals within a limited timeframe, the ability to adapt quickly to a constantly changing development environment and to make decisions quickly when necessary, the ability to communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate tasks and efforts.

Registration implies a moral commitment to complete the process in its entirety, to behave with dignity, and to respect others and the premises made available to you. What's more, the KISS Game Jam is designed to be warm and friendly. Although there's a prize at stake, this Jam is not intended to be competitive, but to encourage mutual aid, sharing and collaboration!
