The world of E-Sport in action! Three key events supported by WALGA

The beginning of 2025 was marked by three E-Sport events at WALGA's premises, illustrating the activity of the local scene. Thanks to the support of WALGA, which made its infrastructure and equipment available, these initiatives were able to take place and offer participants unforgettable experiences.

  • FGC relaunches its tournaments in Liège

On February 8, 2025, the versus fighting community got back on its feet with an event organized by the FGC in the WALGA E-Sport area in Liège. The event was a full-scale test to relaunch a regular circuit of tournaments throughout the year. With 15 people competing and a large audience in attendance, the event attracted some 30 people to the B3 Exploratory and WALGA's E-Sport premises.

Thanks to the support of WALGA and Digital Wallonia, the organizers were able to benefit from suitable premises and high-performance equipment.

  • OUAT in bootcamp for its 4th anniversary

To celebrate its fourth anniversary and mark the start of the League of Legends season, the Once Upon a Team community organized a bootcamp from January 24 to 26, 2025 in Charleroi. The aim of the event was to bring players together and optimize their performance as a team.

From the moment they arrived on Friday evening, the players shared a game session, before moving on to intensive stream days on Saturday and Sunday. Access to WALGA's premises and equipment was a major asset to the success of the bootcamp, providing players with a professional environment conducive to training and team building.

  • Cefuc Esports shines on Brawl Stars

On February 8 and 9, 2025, WALGA's premises in Namur hosted a bootcamp organized by UCLouvain Cefuc Esports, focusing on Brawl Stars. The main objective was to enable players to take part in the first Monthly Qualifier of the Brawl Stars Championship 2025.

On the competitive front, the team distinguished itself by reaching the fifth round of qualifying, placing in the European top 256. This promising performance testifies to the seriousness of the preparation and the potential of the players coached by Jordane Bentein and Théo Riquet. Once again, WALGA and Digital Wallonia played their part by making their infrastructures available, thus facilitating the organization and management of the tournament.

These three events demonstrate the dynamism of E-Sport in Belgium and the importance of structural support to accompany its development. WALGA thus continues to play a central role in the ecosystem, offering opportunities for players and event organizers to express their full potential.
