The very first edition of the E-sport Festival organized by HEPH-Condorcet, in partnership with Gaming Factory, took place on April 3rd on the UCharleroi Campus!
The Festival featured 2 tournaments (FIFA & Mario kart), a conference area, an area with various partner stands (Activit-E, RTBF IXpé, Zennit gaming, la Ouat and Gaming factory), an area reserved for various Belgian indie games (Bumper Arena, Shadow's Bullet & N-ice Cover, the winning game from the last KISS Game Jam) and a Belgian Student League stand.
At the end of the day, Benjamin De Smet, E-sport Manager at WALGA and CEO of Activit-e, took part in a conference on the E-sport ecosystem in Belgium, with the following panel of experts:
- Tinant Gilles: President of the Wallonia-Brussels E-sport Association (Walbru E-Sport)
- Sara Dethise Martinez: UNAMUR researcher in E-sport and gaming
- Christopher Pierre: Coordinator and manager esport/streaming RTBF Ixpé
With Pierre Devilliers as host, former marketing and social networking manager for Wild Bishop.
