From October 19th to 20th, WALGA members from both studios and E-Sport organizations were able to take part in GameForce in Brussels on our two respective stands!
GameForce is Brussels' premier video game event for the general public. This new edition was held simultaneously with Made In Asia and ComiCon, ensuring a record number of visitors - nearly 75,000. Thanks to a collaboration between WALGA and the event organizers, we were able to offer our members the opportunity to present their games and E-Sport tournaments on each stand.
Among the studios present on the WALGA devs stand, we could count on the presence of 9 studios, namely: Brume Studio, the student team, fresh winners of the Belgian Game Awards with their "Best Student Game of the Year" prize, VEDG studio, The Purple Dress Company, Myron Games, the studios in Azimut Entreprendre's "Teste ton studio" course, Kinoko studio and Turbo Soda Games, as well as the winners of the latest Game Jams (KISS and Franco-Belge) Les Tontons, Black Tears studio and DigDigDig studio. Many people enjoyed playing the indie games and giving constructive feedback to the developers.
A little further on, at the WALGA E-Sport stand, several organizations were on hand to run various tournaments on Valorant, CounterStrike, League of Legends and more, with Ouat, Westorm and Activit-e.
Thanks to our partnership with Logitech and MSI, we were able to provide our members with around twenty fully-equipped PCs for this major event.
The Belgian Game Awards stand was also right next to ours. It was an opportunity to get to know the winning games and studios of this 2024 edition, and to play them to the full!
